MAHWAH, NJ – Two New York residents were arrested after police found 250 bags of heroin during a traffic stop on Route 287 North Tuesday night, police said.
Police received consent to search the vehicle and found a vacuum-sealed container with five bricks of heroin, 250 bags, attached to the frame, Batelli said.
The driver, Scott Cooperman, 25, of Pine Bush, New York, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued motor vehicle summonses, Batelli said.
The passenger, Jessica Miller, 33, of Walden, New York, was charged with possession of heroin, the chief said.
